Chipperson Law Group Secures Complete PTAB Victory for Zaxcom, Preserving Every Challenged Claim Across Four Inter Partes Reviews

Morristown, NJ (June 11, 2026)—Chipperson Law Group is pleased to announce that it has secured a complete victory for client Zaxcom, Inc. in four inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). RØDE Microphones, LLC and Freedman Electronics Pty Ltd. challenged claims of four Zaxcom patents directed to the company’s pioneering digital recording wireless microphone technology.

In a consolidated Final Written Decision issued today, the PTAB ruled in favor of Zaxcom in the two remaining inter partes review proceedings involving U.S. Patent Nos. 7,711,443 and 10,276,207. The Board credited evidence of industry praise, including recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy, as further support for the strength of Zaxcom’s patented innovations. 

The ruling concludes the last remaining challenges in a series of four IPR proceedings brought against Zaxcom’s patents. As a result, every claim challenged across the four IPR proceedings was preserved.
